Xiaomi Launches Affordable Redmi Clip Neo Earbuds

Technical Specifications and Design
Xiaomi has expanded its audio lineup with the introduction of the Redmi Clip Neo. Launched alongside the Redmi K100 smartphone, these earbuds follow the same design concept as the Xiaomi Clip-on model released in May, but at a much lower price. The clip-style design attaches to the outer ear rather than inside the ear canal, offering increased comfort for extended listening sessions.
The Redmi Clip Neo features a 0.6mm flexible titanium wire frame with a memory effect, which the manufacturer claims can withstand over 25,000 bending tests. The components that come into contact with the ear are covered in skin-safe silicone, with each earbud weighing just 5.3 grams.
Audio quality is managed by 12mm drivers with a dual-magnetic design, which increases volume by 40%. A diamond-coated diaphragm ensures fast and detailed sound reproduction. Additionally, the device includes a 10-band equaliser with four preset modes, allowing users to customise the sound to their preferences.
Functionality and Battery Life
Although the earbuds lack active noise cancellation (ANC) for music playback, they utilise two microphones with artificial intelligence to block background noise during phone calls. Notably, the device features physical buttons—a rarity in the modern market. These buttons control music playback, while a long press activates the voice assistant, compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

In terms of battery life, the earbuds provide 7 hours of playback on a single charge, extending to 32 hours with the charging case. The device also supports multi-point connectivity, allowing users to connect to multiple devices simultaneously.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Clip Neo is currently available in the Chinese market for approximately $60. This is nearly half the price of the original Xiaomi Clip-on, which retailed for around $120. The company also introduced a limited edition version featuring CryingCenter-branded accessories, which is priced slightly higher.
Given the popularity of Xiaomi products in Georgia, this device represents an interesting option for local consumers. Should the Redmi Clip Neo reach the global market, it will serve as one of the most accessible alternatives for those who prefer not to wear earbuds inside the ear canal.
