vivo X500 Ultra: Chinese Flagship Set for Global Release
New database listings confirm international availability for the upcoming flagship

Global Expansion and Initial Details
Chinese technology giant vivo has confirmed that its latest flagship, the X500 Ultra, will officially debut in March or April 2026. Company representatives stated that the device will not be limited to the domestic Chinese market. Recent data shows the global version of the smartphone, bearing model number V2660, has been registered in the Turkish IMEI database, signalling its international availability.
Furthermore, an entry for the Jovi X500 Ultra has appeared in the database. Jovi is the brand vivo uses for the Brazilian market, indicating that the smartphone will also be available in South America. This strategy follows a familiar pattern: last year, the vivo X300 Ultra followed a similar path, appearing in global markets, including Brazil, just months after its Chinese premiere.
Technical Specifications and Upgraded Camera
The technical specifications for the X500 Ultra are impressive. According to insider information, the device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, ensuring it remains competitive with market-leading smartphones. Users can expect a 6.85-inch flat 2K LTPO AMOLED panel, manufactured by BOE, which supports a 144Hz refresh rate. For security, the phone will feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Special attention is being paid to the camera system. Reports indicate that the 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera will feature a larger 1/1.2-inch sensor, a significant step forward compared to the previous model. Additionally, the 35mm main camera will transition to a 50-megapixel sensor, offering enhanced stabilisation capabilities for photography enthusiasts.
Energy Efficiency and Expectations
The company plans to improve the smartphone's autonomy with a higher-capacity battery. Rumours suggest the vivo X500 Ultra will be equipped with a battery between 7,000 and 8,000 mAh, a notable increase over the 6,600 mAh capacity of the X300 Ultra. This battery capacity, combined with the modern chipset, should make it one of the most durable flagships available.
While the exact date for global sales remains unknown, it is likely to follow shortly after the Chinese launch. This news is significant for international users, as vivo's flagship series is becoming increasingly accessible through global retail networks, providing a greater variety of choices.
