Sony Unveils New Transparent DualSense Controller Collection
The new Prism Collection brings a retro aesthetic to the PlayStation 5.

Nostalgia Meets Modern Design
Sony has announced an exciting addition for gaming enthusiasts with the official unveiling of the Prism Collection, which features transparent DualSense controllers. This design language directly channels the late 90s and early 2000s, an era when transparent casings were among the most popular trends in consumer technology.
The new controllers will be available in three colour variations: orange, green, and grey. Each model features a high-gloss, transparent finish that extends to the back of the device, allowing users to glimpse the intricate internal mechanisms that power the DualSense. According to Sony, the goal was to revive the iconic 90s aesthetic in a clean, modern way that integrates harmoniously with the industrial design of the PS5.
A Complete Set for Your Console
In addition to the controllers, Sony is offering console covers in the exact same three colours. It is worth noting that the covers are not transparent and do not reveal the console's internal components; however, they are designed to match the new controllers perfectly, adding a distinct look to any gaming setup.

Transparent design is not new territory for Sony. The company began experimenting with this style during the PlayStation 1 era. Since then, each subsequent generation has received its own "transparent" accessories, and now it is the turn of the PS5.
Pricing and Availability
Pre-orders for the Prism Collection officially begin on November 10 via PlayStation's direct channels. As for pricing, a single transparent DualSense controller will cost $85, while the console cover set will be priced at $75. Shipping for these orders is scheduled to begin in February 2025.
For gamers who follow aesthetic shifts in the industry, this collection is a compelling acquisition. While the controllers are technically identical to standard models, their retro design will be highly desirable for many due to nostalgia. Please note that the pre-order process is global, and delivery to regions such as Georgia may involve additional logistical time.
