Samsung Launches Budget-Friendly Galaxy A08 With 6000mAh Battery
A new budget-friendly device arrives with a focus on battery longevity and essential features.

The New Galaxy A08: Affordable Price and High Capacity
Samsung has officially introduced the latest addition to its budget-friendly lineup, the Galaxy A08. After appearing in several global markets last month, the smartphone is now available in India. The device is designed for users seeking a reliable smartphone with long-lasting battery life and the essential power required for daily tasks.
The phone’s primary highlight is its 6000mAh battery, a significant figure by modern standards. To replenish energy quickly, the device supports 25W wired charging technology. This feature makes it an attractive option for those who are frequently on the move and prefer not to charge their smartphone constantly.
Technical Specifications and Display
The Galaxy A08 features a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother visuals. At its core, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset, paired with 4GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Notably, storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.

The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor, supported by a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, housed in a waterdrop-style notch, is an 8MP selfie camera. The device operates on Samsung’s latest One UI 8 interface, offering users modern software capabilities.
Additional Features and Design
In terms of design, Samsung offers the device in three colours: dark blue, green, and silver. The smartphone holds an IP64 rating, meaning it offers a degree of resistance against dust and water splashes. For security, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner is included. Additionally, the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack is a welcome feature, as it is becoming increasingly rare in modern models.
With its specifications, the Galaxy A08 is a typical budget solution focused on autonomy and core functionality. While the 4GB/64GB version is priced at approximately 18,499 Indian Rupees (equivalent to about 600 GEL), its availability in other markets, including Georgia, has not yet been confirmed. This model is a solid choice for those looking for a stable, branded smartphone at a reasonable price.
