Samsung reveals the features and pricing for its latest budget-friendly device.

The Debut of the Galaxy F70 5G
Samsung has officially confirmed the release date for the Galaxy F70 5G. According to the company, the device will launch in the Indian market on October 18. Positioned between the budget and mid-range segments, the smartphone will be available at a competitive price point, starting below 20,000 Indian rupees (approximately $225).
Technical Specifications and Design
The new model features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. A 13-megapixel selfie camera is housed in a waterdrop-style notch at the top of the screen. At just 7.5 millimetres thick, the device offers a sleek and compact design, while the chassis provides protection against dust and water splashes.
The main camera system consists of three sensors: a 50-megapixel 'No Shake Cam' with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Performance is powered by an Exynos 1330 chipset, while a 5,000 mAh battery supports 25W fast charging.
Software and Ties to the Galaxy A17
The Galaxy F70 5G offers modern software solutions, including Circle to Search, Google Gemini AI, Samsung Wallet, Quick Share, and the Knox security system. Notably, the technical specifications of the F70 5G closely mirror those of the Galaxy A17 5G. The device is expected to feature up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with Samsung promising six major Android updates.
It is worth noting that Samsung’s F-series is specifically designed for and manufactured in the Indian market. While this model focuses on specific regions, the emergence of such series often highlights Samsung’s strategy to expand its global portfolio with affordable yet technologically advanced smartphones. For users who frequently seek budget-friendly and reliable devices, the development of such series is significant, as these technologies and design elements often eventually become available in global markets.
