Redmi K100: Ultrasonic Sensor and 10,000 mAh Battery Confirmed
Redmi confirms key specifications for its upcoming K100 ahead of the October 26 launch.

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has revealed further details regarding its upcoming smartphone, the Redmi K100. The device, scheduled for an official presentation in China on October 26, will join the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max lineup, which arrived on the market this past August.
Camera and Visual Capabilities
The primary highlight of the Redmi K100 is its photography suite. The smartphone will feature a 50-megapixel Light and Shadow Hunter 800 sensor, measuring 1/1.55 inches with an f/1.68 aperture. This configuration is designed to enable high-quality photography across various lighting conditions. On the front, the device houses a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, ensuring a high-quality visual experience for content enthusiasts.
Protection and Technical Hardware
The company has confirmed that this K100 series model will feature IP68-rated protection, ensuring the smartphone is resistant to both dust and water. For security, the device integrates an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner located beneath the display, which offers faster and more precise identification compared to standard optical sensors.

The technical specifications also include an 0815 X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback, symmetrical stereo speakers, and seven antennas to maintain connection stability.
Autonomy and Availability
One of the most impressive details is the battery. The Redmi K100 will be powered by a 10,000 mAh cell, a rare and standout figure in the modern smartphone market. To ensure rapid power replenishment, the device supports 100W wired charging technology.
The smartphone will be available in three colours, including a new 'Firefly Green' shade. Pre-orders have already commenced on Xiaomi's official website in China. While the device is initially focused on the Chinese market, its specifications clearly signal Redmi's ambition to create a high-performance device capable of competing with premium segment models.
