Redmi K100 Debuts: Featuring a 10,000 mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite
Xiaomi's sub-brand brings flagship performance and record-breaking battery capacity to its latest device.

Redmi has officially unveiled the Redmi K100, a new smartphone entering the market with several impressive features. The device's primary highlight is its 10,000 mAh battery, a rare and exceptional capacity by modern smartphone standards. This new model promises users a completely new level of autonomy alongside high-end performance. ## Flagship Power and Display At the heart of the smartphone lies Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, providing the device with top-tier gaming and multitasking capabilities. Visuals are handled by a 6.83-inch OLED panel, which offers a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. The screen supports Dolby Vision technology, while security is managed by an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. ## Cameras and Additional Features For photography enthusiasts, the Redmi K100 offers a 50MP main sensor (Light Fusion 800) equipped with optical image stabilisation (OIS). This is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while a 20MP camera is positioned on the front for selfies. The device features an IP69K protection rating, making it exceptionally resistant to dust and water. The smartphone runs on HyperOS 4, based on Android 17, which includes AI-driven features such as the Super Xiao AI 2.0 assistant. ## Pricing and Availability The Redmi K100 is available in three different colours. The base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will cost approximately $525. Buyers can also choose 12GB/512GB and 16GB/512GB versions, priced at $615 and $675, respectively. The device supports 100W fast wired charging, an essential component given the massive battery size. Although the smartphone is currently intended for the Chinese market, its specifications suggest that Redmi is aggressively attempting to offer flagship capabilities at an affordable price. For users who prefer the Xiaomi ecosystem, this model will be an interesting alternative should it appear on the global market in the near future.
