RedMagic 12 Pro+ Revealed: 185Hz Screen and RGB Cooling
The new flagship brings PC-level gaming features to a mobile form factor.

Unprecedented Performance and Cooling
RedMagic has officially unveiled its latest flagship, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, designed with high-end technical specifications for mobile gaming enthusiasts. Announced in China, the device introduces the industry's first 185Hz full-screen display, which conceals the selfie camera beneath the panel.
At the core of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, working in tandem with a dedicated RedCore R5 gaming processor. This combination allows the device to handle complex graphical tasks, including ray tracing and upscaling to 2K resolution. A significant update to the PC emulator now allows users to run games directly from their Steam library on the smartphone.
The cooling system is a standout feature. An RGB-lit liquid cooling module covers both the processor and the battery. The system utilizes graphene thermal materials, a vapor chamber, and liquid metal. Additionally, a 25,500 RPM fan ensures temperature stability during even the most intensive gaming sessions.
Display and Design
The 6.85-inch AMOLED panel reaches 1,900 nits in high brightness mode, peaking at 5,000 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The chassis features 0.96 mm bezels, achieving a 96.3% screen-to-body ratio. The device is also rated IP68/IP69 for dust and water resistance.
Power is provided by an 8,400 mAh battery, supporting 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. Notably, the smartphone retains a 3.5 mm headphone jack—a rarity in modern flagships—and includes 700Hz touch-sensitive shoulder triggers for enhanced gaming control.
Price and Availability
The RedMagic 12 Pro+ launches in China in three colours: Nightfreeze, Subzero, and Skyfrost. Prices start at approximately $980 for the 12GB/256GB version, while the top-tier 16GB/1TB configuration costs $1,260. An exclusive Golden Saga version with 24GB of RAM was also announced.
The device will be released on the global market as the RedMagic 12 Pro. The company will announce pricing and specifications for the international version on 3 November. For enthusiasts globally, including those in Georgia where RedMagic devices are a popular choice, the wait for the global model will continue for a few more weeks.
