RapidCanvas Raises $29 Million to Scale AI Business Applications
The startup plans to expand its team and technology following a successful Series B funding round.

Austin-based startup RapidCanvas, which focuses on building artificial intelligence applications for businesses, has raised $29 million in a new funding round. This latest injection of capital brings the company's total funding to $52.5 million. The Series B round was led by Vertex Ventures SEA & India, with participation from Hitachi Ventures. Existing investors, including Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners, and Titanium Ventures, also participated in the round.
A Unique Approach to Business Process Automation
RapidCanvas operates differently from standard software providers. The company combines an AI agent platform with its own team of engineers. These specialists work directly with client companies to understand their specific needs before building and managing personalized AI applications. These tools integrate directly with systems such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), allowing them to update data automatically.
According to co-founder and CEO Rahul Pangam, artificial intelligence has the potential to create a level playing field in the market, yet its benefits have historically been limited to large, global corporations. RapidCanvas aims to bridge this gap, enabling mid-sized and large businesses to effectively leverage AI in their daily operations.
Future Plans and Market Trends
RapidCanvas reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown eightfold over the past six quarters. This year, more than 75 companies have utilized the applications developed by the firm. The newly raised capital will be used to expand the sales team and deepen partnerships with private equity funds. Additionally, the company plans to hire AI engineers in the United States, Brazil, and India.
Technologically, RapidCanvas will focus on the development of its Enterprise Context Engine. This system stores a client's business rules and definitions, allowing the AI to make more accurate and context-aware decisions. This area is currently one of the most in-demand sectors in the technology industry, with companies such as Dust also actively working in the space.
The success of RapidCanvas highlights the business sector's increasing reliance on intelligent automation. While the startup has not disclosed its current valuation, the strong confidence shown by investors indicates that demand for enterprise-grade AI solutions continues to grow.
