PNOĒ Launches New Breath Analysis Mask for Fitness Tracking

PNOĒ, a startup based in Malden, Massachusetts, has unveiled an upgraded version of its breath analysis device. The gadget is scheduled to go on sale starting October 1. The new model features a significantly more compact and refined design compared to its predecessor. While the company’s previous mask drew comparisons to the character Bane, the new version is far more user-friendly. ## Laboratory-Grade Testing Without a Specialist The device’s primary advantage is its self-service functionality. It allows gym-goers to conduct laboratory-grade metabolic testing entirely on their own. Users can measure their VO₂ max—the maximum rate of oxygen consumption—and other metabolic markers in just eight minutes. The process no longer requires the involvement of a specially trained operator.
