Oppo Reno17 Pro Technical Specifications Revealed
The new smartphone is expected to arrive on the market next month.

Familiar Features in a New Package
Oppo's Reno series consistently generates significant interest in the tech world. Although the official presentation is scheduled for November in China, the device's technical details have already surfaced. It appears the company has opted to maintain a successful formula, introducing subtle yet meaningful improvements in the Reno17 Pro.
The device will feature a 6.32-inch flat display, offering 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. These specifications make the smartphone very similar to its predecessor, the global Reno16 Pro. Performance will be driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, ensuring stable operation within the mid-to-high-end segment.
Cameras and Revolutionary Battery Capacity
For photography enthusiasts, Oppo has prepared an impressive setup. The back of the Reno17 Pro will house a 200-megapixel main camera equipped with gimbal-style stabilisation. This will be complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Notably, a periscope camera is a rarity in smartphones of this size, though Oppo has already demonstrated progress in this area.

The most significant change concerns battery capacity. The new smartphone will be equipped with a battery of approximately 7,000mAh. This figure is a substantial increase over previous models and is a truly remarkable result for a smartphone of this size. While charging speeds remain unknown, the large capacity will offer users significantly longer battery life.
Design and Software
Oppo's new series will focus on a modern, trendy design. The smartphone will include a dedicated button for artificial intelligence (AI) functions, providing users with new tools for photo and video editing. Reports suggest the company is also considering the addition of teleconverter support, a feature previously exclusive to the flagship Find X series.
The Reno17 family will launch with the ColorOS 17 operating system, based on Android 17. In the Chinese market, it will compete directly with new series from Honor and vivo. For users awaiting Oppo's latest releases, this model is expected to become available in international markets early next year, though there is a possibility that the Pro version may bypass certain regions.
