iQOO Pad Pro 8.8: A Compact Gaming Tablet With Advanced Cooling
Designed for mobile gamers, the new device balances premium performance with a compact form factor.

A Powerful Gaming Tablet at an Accessible Price
iQOO has officially launched the iQOO Pad Pro 8.8 in the Chinese market, expanding its signature gaming lineup. This new model is designed to deliver the capabilities of the company's premium Ultra series while maintaining a more budget-friendly price tag and slightly adjusted technical specifications.
The device features an 8.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2304x1440 pixels. With a refresh rate reaching 165Hz, the screen is ideal for gaming, while its peak brightness hits an impressive 4,500 nits. All of this hardware is housed within a sleek metal chassis that measures just 5.74 millimetres in thickness and weighs only 298 grams.
Technical Specifications and Cooling System
At the heart of the tablet lies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, supported by iQOO’s proprietary Q3 gaming chip. The latter is responsible for handling advanced features such as ray tracing, image quality enhancement, and frame interpolation. Users can configure the device with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

To ensure thermal stability during extended gaming sessions, the tablet utilizes the Ice Dome cooling system. This setup includes a 30x30x3.5 mm active cooler, dual vapour chambers, and copper fins. In total, the cooling system covers an area of 23,253 square millimetres, effectively preventing overheating even during intense gameplay.
Additional Features and Pricing
The tablet runs on OriginOS 7 HD, which is based on Android 17. It is powered by a 9,020 mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging. For gamers, key highlights include integrated RGB lighting on the chassis, stereo speakers, and dual X-axis vibration motors.
In the Chinese market, pricing starts at approximately $643 for the 8GB/256GB version and goes up to $868 for the 16GB/512GB model. While iQOO has not yet confirmed whether this model will be released outside of China, it remains a compelling alternative for those seeking a compact yet high-performance gaming tablet.
