How to Obtain The Banyan's Heart in Phantom Blade Zero
A complete guide to unlocking essential character skills

Why The Banyan's Heart Matters
In the world of Phantom Blade Zero, players are constantly looking for ways to bolster their character's capabilities. The Banyan's Heart is a special item essential for unlocking key skills such as Fluid Form Level 2, Quick Remedy, and Opening Strike. Without these items, your character cannot reach their maximum combat potential, making them critical to your progress in the game.
First Steps and the Trial
You can obtain your first Banyan Heart at the end of the Crimson Forest zone. After activating the Parting Mists bell and defeating Stone Fist Iron Fever, an island with a tree will appear before you. Interacting with it will transport you to The Banyan Tree trial space. Here, you must defeat three waves of enemies, culminating in a fight against Jing Ye, one of the game's toughest opponents. It is recommended to use the Cavalrybane accessory to deal extra damage while he is on horseback, while the Shieldbreaker talisman will help you destroy his shield quickly.
Where to Find the Remaining Banyan Hearts
After obtaining the first heart, you begin the collection quest "The Heart of the Banyan," which requires you to track down four more:

- The second tree is located in Pangzhen during the second chapter, northwest of the Lion Dance Hall.
- The third tree can be found near the start of the Mandate Encampment.
- The fourth tree is situated on one of the islands in Meigu Lake.
- The fifth and final tree is on the main path of the Mountain of Imprisonment, though you will need the Illusory Pipa to reach it.
Additionally, Banyan Hearts can be purchased from Quickhand Zhang in his den in the Village of Lu. Each heart costs 100,000 units. It appears that Zhang adds new hearts to his stock as you discover new dens or complete his treasure hunting quests.
Tips for Players
If you find the battle with Jing Ye difficult, do not worry; the game allows you to return and attempt the trial later when you are better prepared. Always try to avoid his bleeding-inducing projectiles, as even blocking will not protect you from taking full damage. Proper tactics and equipment will make the fight significantly easier. The world of Phantom Blade Zero is full of such secrets, so explore each region carefully and do not hesitate to invest resources into your character's development.
