How Artificial Intelligence is Transforming Anthropic’s Workflow
A new report from the AI leader highlights the impact of automation on recruitment, productivity, and internal communication.

Fewer Juniors and Increased Automation
One of the most significant shifts concerns the company’s hiring policy. Since early 2025, the proportion of junior employees in technical roles has fallen from 21% to 14%. The decline is even more pronounced among new hires, dropping from 27% to 9%. This suggests that companies like Anthropic, which are deeply integrated with AI, require fewer entry-level specialists because existing staff can accomplish significantly more work with the help of artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, the share of technical personnel in the total workforce has decreased from 61% to 56%. The company attributes this not only to business expansion but also to the fact that advancements in coding tools have enabled non-technical employees to develop software independently.
Management and the Rise of Meetings
Although AI usage accelerates coding, sales, and contract processing, new challenges have emerged. Some employees note that their work has shifted from "doing the job" to "managing Claude." One engineer compared the process to childcare, noting that each AI tool requires constant attention.
Interestingly, despite digital transformation, the number of meetings has increased. Data shows that time spent in meetings by employees has risen by 20%, with a 16% increase in the technical sector. The company explains that this is driven by the need for human trust and accountability. Despite advanced technology, face-to-face communication and coordination remain indispensable elements for employees.
What This Means for the Future
Anthropic’s report demonstrates that artificial intelligence is not merely a tool for automation; it is changing what we value in human labour. As systems generate vast quantities of text, human attention and critical judgment become the primary bottlenecks.
For employers and the technology sector, this report serves as an important lesson. It indicates that, in the future, tech companies will rely less on standard, entry-level staff and will place greater emphasis on those capable of effectively managing AI and critically evaluating the results it generates.
