Global Pricing and Specs Revealed for Xiaomi 18 Pro Series

Changes in Battery Capacity
The latest flagship series from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, which launched in China last month, will soon arrive in Europe. However, customers awaiting the global versions should expect some technical adjustments. According to data from the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL), the global models will feature smaller battery capacities compared to their Chinese counterparts.
Specifically, the European version of the Xiaomi 18 Pro will be equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery, while the larger Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will feature a 7,050 mAh unit. Although these figures are slightly lower than those found in the Chinese versions, they remain impressive by modern flagship standards and should ensure long-lasting performance.
Premium Pricing Strategy
Beyond technical specifications, the devices' projected pricing has drawn significant attention. Reports suggest that the starting price for the Xiaomi 18 Pro in the European market will be €1,449, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will retail for €1,849. This pricing strategy firmly positions Xiaomi's new models within the premium segment.
Notably, the price of the Xiaomi 18 Pro is only €50 less than last year’s Xiaomi Ultra model. This indicates that the company is aligning its standard Pro models with the cost of its previous “Ultra” category devices, a significant factor for consumers to consider. Xiaomi is clearly aiming to solidify its presence in the highest tier of the market.
What This Means for Consumers
While Xiaomi smartphones enjoy significant popularity in Georgia, price increases in the global market will inevitably impact local retail networks. Consumers accustomed to Xiaomi’s “budget flagships” may be surprised by the cost of this new series. However, alongside the higher price, buyers receive the latest technology and premium-class features.
Ultimately, Xiaomi’s strategy is clear: the company is moving away from competing solely on price and is shifting entirely into the premium segment, where it must earn consumer loyalty through technical excellence. In the near future, it will become clear how the market responds to this new pricing reality and how users accept the European-adapted devices with their slightly reduced battery capacities.
