Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Marks Decade Milestone With Major Update

A full decade has passed since the launch of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. To mark this significant milestone, publisher Bandai Namco has announced a special anniversary update available to players across all platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Two Stages of Anniversary Celebrations
The update will roll out in two phases. The first stage begins on October 27, offering players daily login bonuses, new costumes, and an update to the 'Gallery of Time' within the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC. The second stage, titled 'Final Festival of Universes,' launches on October 30.
During the festival, players will have the opportunity to deepen their relationships with characters such as Trunks, The Supreme Kai of Time, and Fu. This process will unlock exclusive illustrations. Furthermore, the developers are bringing back rare items and doubling the rate at which Star Coins can be earned, making it easier for players to secure rewards. Notably, this event also includes the opportunity to unlock rewards for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
What About the Third Installment?
Although fans are eagerly awaiting Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, which was announced in April of this year, the project will arrive later than expected. Producer Masayuki Hirano confirmed that the release date has been pushed to 2027. This decision stems from the team's desire to refine both the initial gameplay experience and the long-term support strategy.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will transport players to West City in 'Age 1000,' promising a massive, story-driven RPG experience. In the meantime, the Xenoverse 2 anniversary update serves as a farewell gift for a title that has maintained a dedicated fan base for ten years.
For gamers who follow this franchise, this update is an excellent opportunity to return to a beloved world and prepare for the future premiere. While the wait for the third installment has been extended, Bandai Namco’s continued support demonstrates the company's commitment to the future of the series.
