Dayforce Integrates Workforce Data with Anthropic’s Claude
The new integration aims to streamline HR operations through natural language processing and agentic workflows.

HR and payroll systems provider Dayforce has announced a significant update: its platform data is being integrated with Anthropic’s AI model, Claude. This move is a core component of the company’s strategy to develop an "agentic" human capital management platform.
How the new system works
The new connector, currently in beta testing, allows users to query workforce data using natural language. The system enables operations directly from the chat interface, such as requesting leave, filling open shifts, or communicating with job candidates. According to company representatives, this tool will be widely available by 2027.
Crucially, the AI will strictly adhere to existing access permissions within Dayforce. Any changes affecting workforce data require human validation and confirmation, serving as a key security safeguard.
Dayforce Build and platform expansion
The company also introduced Dayforce Build, a tool that allows users to create applications, bots, and documents using natural language descriptions. The system is "model-agnostic," meaning it automatically selects the most effective AI model for a specific task.
Furthermore, plans are in place to launch the Dayforce Marketplace, where partners such as Deloitte, PwC, and Aflac will host their own applications and bots. As part of an expanded partnership with Microsoft, Dayforce bots will also function within Microsoft Copilot and Teams, further automating enterprise processes.
What this means for business
Dayforce leadership believes that traditional workforce planning methods, which focus solely on headcount, are becoming obsolete. A "strategic planning agent" scheduled for early 2027 will help companies calculate the distribution of work between humans and AI agents, aiming to optimise costs.
Despite this technological progress, research conducted by the company involving over 6,000 participants shows that a significant portion of employees are concerned about the impact of AI on career development. Specifically, 51% of respondents believe that AI reduces opportunities for those at the start of their careers. For Dayforce, the primary challenge will be creating systems that enhance human efficiency rather than replacing them.
