Baseus’ New Security Camera Uses a Spotlight to Track Intruders
The U2 Pro features AI-powered tracking and a 3K dual-lens system designed for active deterrence.

A new player has entered the security market. Baseus has launched the Security PrimeSentinel U2 Pro, a device designed not just to record potential intruders, but to actively deter them. Its standout feature is a motorised spotlight that automatically follows and illuminates moving objects. This function alerts trespassers that they have been spotted while simultaneously improving video quality in night vision mode.
Dual Camera and 360-Degree Vision
The U2 Pro features a dual-lens design. One camera remains fixed to monitor a specific zone, while the second is equipped with a motorised mechanism capable of 360-degree rotation and tilting. Both sensors capture video in 3K resolution, which, combined with full-colour night vision, allows for clear identification of people, animals, and even vehicle colours.
Artificial Intelligence and Data Security
The camera utilises artificial intelligence to analyse its environment in real-time, distinguishing between people, pets, vehicles, and packages. The system is sophisticated enough to ignore “false” triggers, such as tree branches swaying in the wind, sparing users from unnecessary notifications. Footage is stored on an encrypted 512GB memory card to ensure data privacy. Users can access the feed via the Baseus mobile app, and the camera is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home ecosystems.
Autonomy and Simple Installation
Baseus claims the device can be installed in just two minutes. The camera connects wirelessly and is powered by a high-capacity battery that lasts up to 150 days on a single charge. The package includes a 3-watt solar panel; just 40 minutes of sunlight per day is sufficient to keep the device fully operational. The unit is now available in international markets, including Europe, for €269. For homeowners, this technology offers a practical way to strengthen perimeter security, allowing users to monitor their property remotely and respond instantly to any suspicious activity.
