AYN Odin 3 Portal Launched: Prices and Specs Confirmed
The new Android handheld console offers a 9,000 mAh battery and Elite processor starting at $399.
Handheld gaming device manufacturer AYN has officially confirmed that its new Android console, the Odin 3 Portal, will go on sale this week on Friday, 23 October. The device replaces the successful Odin 2 Portal, with the manufacturer stating it offers top-tier performance at an affordable price.
The company shared product details and full pricing on its Discord channel. Joining the Odin 3 line-up, the device aims to establish itself as one of the most powerful handhelds on the Android platform.
Flagship Power and Large Battery
The Odin 3 Portal comes equipped with an Elite-class processor, allowing it to handle demanding mobile games and emulation across various platforms with ease. Energy efficiency and battery life are crucial for portable gaming, and the manufacturer has paid special attention to this by equipping the gadget with an impressive 9,000 mAh battery.
A battery of this capacity allows gamers to play resource-heavy titles during extended sessions without being tied to a charger. Compared to previous-generation devices, improvements to the screen and chipset make the new model even more appealing for those seeking a complete gaming experience on the go.
Configurations and Pricing
Alongside the launch, AYN unveiled three main versions differing in RAM and storage capacity:
- Base version: 12 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, with an introductory promotional price of $399.
- Pro version: 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage.
- Max version: The top-tier model featuring 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, priced at $549.
The starting price of $399 for the base model is particularly competitive given the technical specifications and memory configuration offered. Devices with similar performance on the market are often significantly more expensive.
What It Means for Gamers
The handheld console market has grown rapidly in recent years. While choice was once limited to a few major brands, companies like AYN demonstrate that fitting flagship hardware into a compact body at a reasonable price is entirely achievable.
For gaming enthusiasts interested in retro game emulation and modern Android titles, including players in Georgia ordering via international delivery services, the Odin 3 Portal presents a compelling alternative.
