AI Startup Lovable Opens New Office in London
The Swedish startup behind the 'vibe coding' platform is growing its UK presence.

Global Expansion and a New London Hub
Swedish AI startup Lovable has officially opened its first office in London. The move marks a strategic milestone for the company, establishing a second major base for its engineering, product, and design teams. While the London office currently employs 70 specialists, the company plans to increase this headcount to 100 by the end of the year.
The new facility is multifunctional, housing nearly every aspect of the company’s operations, from AI research and infrastructure to sales, marketing, and finance. Notably, the design team, led by Nad Chishtie, has relocated to London. The office also hosts former employees of Radish AI, a company acquired by Lovable to enhance the capabilities of its AI agents.
Why London?
The UK represents one of Lovable’s largest markets in terms of paying customers. According to the company, Britain also leads in the number of startup founders using the Lovable platform to build their products. By establishing a presence in London, the company aims to move closer to both top-tier talent and its existing user base to better address their needs.
Lovable is a platform that allows users to describe and build websites and applications using plain, everyday language. This approach is frequently referred to in the tech industry as “vibe coding.” The platform’s popularity is growing rapidly, with over 70 million projects created to date and 1.2 million new projects added every week.
Success in the Business Sector
Corporate clients are also actively utilizing Lovable’s tools. For instance, approximately 300 employees at the meal replacement brand Huel have used the platform to build over 200 internal software tools. The company estimates that this has saved them more than £85,000 annually. These results demonstrate that AI-driven coding is already delivering tangible economic benefits to businesses.
This expansion follows a $400 million investment round in August, which brought the company’s market valuation to $13.3 billion. Throughout the current year, the startup plans to increase its total headcount by 50%, reaching approximately 450 employees. The opening of the London office is a key part of this ambitious plan, underscoring the intense global competition and rising investment within the AI sector.
